For the Marin Designer's Showcase 2003, I designed this teen-age girl's bedroom around the artwork (see my MACROSCAPES). The sliding custom panels and metal mesh curtain serve as a practical and modern alternative to conventional window treatments. To give the room a "world beat" theme I drew on influences from Europe, Asia, Africa, India, and the Americas.
