For the Marin Designers’ Showcase 2002, I drew on modern Asian themes. The Buddha cut-out and shoji screens slide together to cover the window completely, or slide apart to become large blank canvases, thus reflecting the "being" and "nothingness" of Zen (and existentialism, for that matter…)
